Excellence Initiatives

  • Leadership: The critical piece in the Emergency Department Leadership puzzle is the Medical Director. This is why we personally manage this aspect of the practice until we carefully choose a highly motivated, experienced, board certified physician with proven excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. We then further develop their leadership skills by closely supervising and actively mentoring them.
  • Clinical Quality: It all starts with recruitment of highly qualified physicians. We also employ Core Measure, 72-hour Return Visit and Utilization Review audits to provide our physicians with dynamic clinical quality feedback.
  • Patient Satisfaction: We excel at this very important measure of our success by implementing physician incentive programs that align with Hospital Patient Satisfaction goals. HIP will provide the Hospital Providers feedback based on real-time discussions and follow up calls with patients and their families.
  • Customer Service: We train our providers to recognize the importance of developing strong working relationships with members of the nursing and medical staff, as well as EMS and community members. These relationships are nurtured through our Medical Director involvement in hospital committees and by as active participation in hospital outreach activities. Our physicians understand the importance of keeping the patients and their families informed throughout their emergency department experience.
  • Operational Efficiency: Our Patient-Centered approach to process efficiency involves an in-depth analysis of all the ED processes with the purpose of identifying and utilizing performance metrics to establish role accountability and transparency within the organization.
